My area appears on the map as less than 20% covered before 2020, what does that mean?

Area information is taken at postcode level. A postcode that is shown in this category means that up to 20% of the premises that were known of at the time when the underlying Ordnance Survey map was created are currently expected to achieve superfast coverage by the end of 2019.

This may be either through the CSW Broadband rollout or through commercial providers. As this information is provided to us in commercial confidence, we are not able to state which provider has said that they will go to a particular area.

To find out if superfast broadband is already available you can use either the Openreach or Virgin line checkers. The How to use the Openreach DSL Line checker page on our website contains a handy guide to interpreting the results of the Openreach checker. We do not have checkers for independent providers, so you may have to ask around locally.

Please enter your postcode into the ‘Location’ field of our Latest Map or zoom in to see more information about individual properties.
